Now Twittering
Desde ayer -siempre llegando tarde- estoy probando Twitter a ver qué tal. Me convenció de intentarlo éste artículo de Wired de Clive Thompson en el que explica cómo le ha encontrado valor al asunto:
... the true value of Twitter — and the similarly mundane Dodgeball, a tool for reporting your real-time location to friends — is cumulative. The power is in the surprising effects that come from receiving thousands of pings from your posse. And this, as it turns out, suggests where the Web is heading.
Twitter funciona básicamente así:
- Te registras gratis
- Envías mensajes del tipo "qué estoy haciendo" de hasta 140 caracteres a tu cuenta vía el sitio web, SMS o mensajería instantánea
- Tus amigos se suscriben a tus alertas/twitts
- Te suscribes a las cuentas de tus amigos
- Puedes recibir (gratis) los twitts de tus amigos en tu móvil a través de SMS o en tu RSS o en tu sistema de mensajería instantánea (aquí es donde está lo interesante)
- Además puedes añadir a cualquier blog, facebook, myspace, etc, una pequeña aplicación que también muestra tus twitts
